Validation

Continuously validating Cableizer is a task we take serious. An extensive test suite ensures that simulation results are always accurate and reliable. Cableizer is continuously and automatically validating its simulation results against accredited values from publications and data sheets of cable suppliers. The following validation reports might be of special interest:

  • Comparison with Cymcap
  • Latest results of our validation test suite are published here
  • Cable pulling validation examples (Brugg, Southwire)

There is no possible certification for Cableizer because there exists no notified body or standardization company which can give an approval for cable rating software tools.

The Cigré workgroup B1.56 worked out a guide regarding the verification of cable current ratings and mid-september 2022 with three years delay published TB 880 'Power cable rating examples for calculation tool verification'. Cigre TB 880 contains 49 guidance points out of which the user can choose to use those with deviation to IEC in the user preferences.
