Ratio of current-dependent losses in conductor, screen/sheath, armour and pipe to losses in conductor affecting the environment. Voltage-dependent losses (dielectric losses) are not included in this ratio.

The ratio corresponds to $1+\lambda_1+\lambda_2+\lambda_3+\lambda_4$.
