Cableizer account security

Get recommendations to help you keep your Cableizer account secure and up-to-date.

In order to protect your Cableizer account and avoid getting compromised, please make sure that you apply the following recommendations:

  1. Strong password - Use a password including numbers, symbols, uppercase and lowercase letters that is completely different from your other passwords, username, or other personal information. Passwords are transferred and stored encrypted on our server using the PBKDF2 algorithm with a SHA256 hash. As a consequence, your password is safe with us and we cannot see it in plain text. Make sure to keep your password secure and do not share it with anybody.
  2. Business email address - Use an email address that is secure and protected. We use your verified email address to let you reset your password should you forget it. For security reasons, we also send you an information email whenever we register a sensitive activity on your Cableizer account. Everybody with access to your email account can gain full control of your Cableizer account.

If you notice any strange activity or suspect that your Cableizer account may be compromised, please immediately log in to your Cableizer account and change your password in your user profile. Should you have lost access to your account, please contact us immediately so that we can lock your account and restore your access.

The following sections describe how to keep your Cableizer account up-to-date. All options are available in your user profile.

Password change

Simply enter your current password (for security reasons), and your new password (twice for confirmation). Should you have forgotten your current password, you can request a new password instead.

Simply enter your password (for security reasons) and a new username that is not yet registered with Cableizer.

Email address change request

Simply enter your password (for security reasons) and your new email address (twice for confirmation). The new email address needs to be a valid business email address that is not yet registered with Cableizer. We will send a message with a confirmation link to your new email address. Once you click on the confirmation link, we will change your email address.

Account deactivation

Simply enter your password (for security reasons) and press the 'Deactivate' button. You can restore your Cableizer account if it was accidentally or wrongfully deactivated for up to 30 days after deactivation. After 30 days, your account and all related information will be permanently and irrevocably deleted.

Account deactivation is only possible once your subscription has expired. In addition, accounts scheduled for deletion cannot sign a new subscription. Please reactivate your account first.
