As part of our ongoing commitment to seamless international and domestic invoicing, Cableizer now fully supports the Swiss QR-bill (QR-Rechnung / Facture QR / Fattura QR) for customers in Switzerland (CH) and Liechtenstein (LI).

What Changed for You?

Following our recent rollouts of Factur-X, EN 16931, and international PINT standards (such as PINT A-NZ, SG, JP, and UAE), this addition brings automated, friction-free payment processing directly to our Swiss and Liechtensteiner clients.

Introduced by SIX on behalf of the Swiss financial community, the QR-bill modernizes and standardizes payment traffic across Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It combines the reliability of traditional payment slips (Einzahlungsscheine) with the speed and accuracy of digital workflows.

Key Characteristics:

  • The Swiss QR Code: Positioned prominently on the payment part, the Swiss QR Code contains all essential payment data (creditor, account/IBAN, amount, currency, reference, and debtor information) encoded in a standardized format (the Swiss Payments Code). It features the distinct Swiss cross in the center.
  • Two Sections: Every QR-bill consists of a Receipt (left section) for physical acceptance points or manual record-keeping, and a Payment Part (right section) containing the QR code and all readable payment details.
  • Multilingual Support: In compliance with Swiss banking standards, our invoices automatically generate the QR-bill in the customer’s preferred language (German, French, Italian, or English), matching their profile language setting (defaulting to English if another language is selected).

How It Works

When an order or subscription invoice is generated:

  1. Country Detection: Cableizer checks the billing country. For customers in CH or LI, a dedicated second page is appended to the invoice PDF.
  2. Automated Data Binding: The QR-bill is dynamically populated with our creditor details (Braavos GmbH), your order number as additional payment information, the exact invoice amount, currency (CHF or EUR), and your organization's billing address.
  3. Scan and Pay: Your clients can simply open their e-banking mobile app or e-banking portal, scan the QR code, and authorize the payment in seconds—eliminating typing errors and manual reference entry.
