Global E-Invoicing: Cableizer extends beyond Europe with UBL 2.1 via Peppol PINT profiles. One EN 16931 semantic model, two XML syntaxes (CII for Europe, UBL for the world). Automatic country detection, tax handling, and format translation.

Invoices got smarter, we now send you compliant e-invoices that your accounting system can read automatically. Customers in various countries now receive from us the traditional PDF invoice plus an XML file with structured data as by their national standard. No more printing, scanning, or manually typing invoice data, your accounting system processes them automatically, instantly, and accurately.
The invoices you receive from us still look exactly the same — professional, clear, easy to read and print if you need to. But now a separate XML file is being sent attached to the email containing all the structured invoice data.
Your accounting software can import this XML file directly into your system. Line items, amounts, VAT, payment terms, everything — all automatically processed. No manual entry. No typos. No data entry errors.
Your accounting department doesn't have to do anything manual. No printing. No scanning. No typing. The invoice data flows directly into your system.
You receive either a Peppol PINT invoice (PDF file plus a separate XML file in UBL 2.1 format) or a Factur-X invoice with the XML data embedded directly in the PDF. The PDF can be open, read and printed normally.
When invoices are automatically ingested, they're processed instantly. No delays waiting for manual data entry. No errors that trigger disputes or follow-up emails. Your three-way match (PO, receipt, invoice) happens automatically.
Your accounting team spends less time on invoice entry and more time on analysis and strategy. That's a real cost saving, especially if you process hundreds of invoices per month.
Manual data entry is error-prone. Automated processing is not. No more disputes over amounts or line items. No more reconciliation headaches.
The invoices you receive are compliant with your country's e-invoicing standards.
If you're located in any of these regions, you're already receiving compliant e-invoices from us:
| Region | Countries | Invoice Format |
|---|---|---|
| Europe | EU/EFTA member states, DK & FR territories, Aland, Svalbard, Switzerland | Factur-X (see blog post) |
| United Kingdom | United Kingdom plus UK territories and Crown Dependencies | Peppol PINT (UBL 2.1 XML + PDF) |
| Asia-Pacific | Australia (plus CX, CC, NF), Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand (plus CK, NU, TK), Singapore | Peppol PINT (UBL 2.1 XML + PDF) |
| Africa & Middle East | Oman, UAE, South Africa | Peppol PINT (UBL 2.1 XML + PDF) |
| America | USA (plus US Territories), Canada | Peppol PINT (UBL 2.1 XML + PDF) |
Most modern accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.) already supports e-invoice processing. Check your software's documentation or contact your vendor to enable e-invoice import. Once enabled, you can import the XML files we send directly into your system.
If your software doesn't support e-invoices yet, you can still use the invoices we send — the PDF is fully readable and usable. But you'll miss out on the automatic processing benefit.
If you want to verify that an invoice is compliant and see what data is in the XML file, you can use free online validators. Just upload one of your XML files and see what data it contains.
| Validator | URL | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Peppol Validator | e-invoice.be | Validate your Peppol BIS 3.0 invoices against EN 16931 and Peppol schematron rules (not for PINT) |
| Ecosio Validator | ecosio.com | Validate e-invoices and other XML documents against every major global standard, from Peppol to XRechnung, in seconds with ecosio’s free XML validator tool. |
| B2BRouter Validator | b2brouter.net (German) | Validating PINT UBL 2.1 invoices from Asia-Pacific and North America. |

While most of the world is converging on EN 16931, some countries use their own national e-invoicing formats instead of PINT/UBLs. For the European countries with their own national XML schema or other national format it would be desireable that they will eventually use Peppol BIS 3.0 / EN 16932.
However, the e-invoicing formats are actually the easy part. All these countries are clearance-based systems where invoices must be submitted to a government platform, sometimes in real-time. This is not feasible for us and so for all countries with a clearance system we will not implement their solution. Clearance has to be covered by the customer.
| Country | Code | Format | Clearance | Analysis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Italy | IT | FatturaPA XML format (SDI / Agenzia delle Entrate standard, XSD v1.2.3, Specifiche Tecniche 1.9.1) | Clearance system (SDI), mandatory since 2019 | Very complex |
| Spain | ES | VERI*FACTU, Facturae/FACe, SII, TicketBAI, and Crea y Crece B2B | Clearance system for some | Most complex with six overlapping systems that apply depending on taxpayer size, sector, and region. |
| Poland | PL | KSeF (FA(2)) = Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 / EN 16931 | Clearance system, mandatory since April 2026 | XML is compliant |
| Romania | RO | RO e-Factura | Clearance system, mandatory since 2024 | Complex |
| Serbia | RS | SEF XML = UBL 2.1 XML / EN 16931 | Clearance system (SEF), mandatory since 2023 | XML is compliant |
| Brazil | BR | NF-e | Clearance system (real-time) | Very complex, critical |
| China | CN | e-Fapiao | STA platform | Totally out of scope |
For example, Brazil uses a completely different XML schema: NF-e (Nota Fiscal eletrônica), maintained by the Brazilian tax authority (Fazenda), which is more complex than Factur-X.
We would have to include new dependencies like nfelib and PyNFe which is doable but not easy.
But in addition, Brazil requires direct integration with SEFAZ (the tax authority's webservice) for digital signing and authorization. And this communication has to be in real-time. That is just out of the scope.
| Package | Purpose | Remark |
|---|---|---|
nfelib |
Generate & parse NF-e XML (v4.00), NFS-e, CT-e, MDF-e, BP-e. Uses xsdata to auto-generate Python bindings from official Fazenda XSD schemas. | Maintained |
PyNFe |
NF-e XML generation + SEFAZ webservice communication (send, authorize, query status). Supports v4.00. | Active development |
brazilfiscalreport |
Generates DANFE PDF from NF-e XML (the printable document that accompanies goods) | Not necessary |
