Update 29.10.2022

Iran and North Korea were added to the blocking list which now contains Russia, Belarus, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Syria.

CSTO members Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have shown no support for Russia's war and the first cracks formed in the relationships. Way to go my friends! We removed them from the blocking list onto the no-business-list for now.

Mongolia, Pakistan and Venezuela were removed from the no-business-list.

On 24.02.2022, Russia started a war against Ukraine, an independent and democratic country.

Many governments, institutions and companies from across the world have since implemented sanctions and bans on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Let's each in our own area do what we can if we don't want to go back a hundred years in history again. It is time for a message against Russia and its allies and friends: one that is clear, common and consistent, one that doesn't fall silent and is willing to throw one's own wealth overboard for one's own values and beliefs.

We have shortly after beginning of this senseless and brutal war been blocking access to cableizer.com for Russia, Belarus and Syria. Thanks to the great services from Cloudflare we were able to do this quite easily. Four users are directly affected by this measure.

In the meantime, we added the members of Russia's CSTO Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan to the blocking list. We have no users in these countries and are happy to keep it this way.
Access is possible but no new orders can be placed by users from Azerbaijan, Eritrea, Iran, Mongolia, North Korea, Pakistan, Venezuela. We have but one user in Iran.

When we introduced Cloudflare over a year ago, our intention was to increase security and performance as described in our blog post. It's a bit ironic that we have to use Cloudflare now to block so many countries, thanks to the stupidity of Putin. Currently, we see 80 to 100 blockings per day, coming mainly from Russia. We can recommend the services from Cloudflare, it's easy to setup and it works very effectively.
